Virginia Beach Planning and Public Utilities Departments Relocating to Municipal Center Campus
Satellite Treasurer’s Office co-located with Planning Department at Sabre Street to close permanently.
The Virginia Beach departments of Public Utilities and Planning & Community Development are relocating into newly renovated spaces in Building 3 at the Municipal Campus located at 2403 Courthouse Drive (the former City Hall building). Â
The Public Utilities customer contact center (call center) will close on April 28, and the customer service office, located at 2809 S. Lynnhaven Road, Suite 250, will be closed to walk-in customers on April 28 and April 29. The department will reopen to the public in Building 3 at the Municipal Campus April 30.  Â
The Planning Department’s offices at Sabre Street will close for the move at 5 p.m., Thursday, May 1, and will reopen at Building 3, starting at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7. Â
Phone numbers and email addresses for both departments will remain the same.   Â
The City Treasurer’s Office co-located next to the Planning customer service counter at Sabre Street will permanently close effective 5 p.m., Thursday, May 1. Visit Treasurer.VirginiaBeach.gov/Locations to view other available locations.  Â
Customer parking is available in the parking lot across the street from Building 3 and on-street parking along Courthouse Drive and North Landing Road.Â
