Utility Work to Impact Traffic and Water Service in Municipal Center Area

A water valve replacement will require the closure of North Landing Road between Princess Anne Road and George Mason Drive, and the southeast-bound lane of Princess Anne Road between James Madison Boulevard and North Landing Road starting at 9 p.m. tonight, Aug. 25. These closures are expected to be in place until 3 a.m. tomorrow, Aug. 26.

This work will also require temporary water service interruptions for residents west of George Mason Drive and within the West Neck Road to Indian River Road corridor during the following times:

• Monday, Aug. 25, 10-10:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, Aug. 26, 10 p.m. until Wednesday, Aug. 27, 4 a.m.

After water service is restored, residents may notice sediment in their water. This is not harmful. Residents can clear it by running cold water from their tap for approximately five minutes, or until the water runs clear. Otherwise, any discoloration will dissipate within 12 to 24 hours.
